The Garden Club of Trinidad had a wonderful meeting at the lovely home of Mrs Joan Massiah. Thank you so much from all of us, Joan, for your warmth and hospitality. You have a lovely garden and we were all BLOWN AWAY by your shaded coy pond and cascading water feature. It was so natural and believable, and so beautifully landscaped. We were honoured to have Dr Paul Fajgenbaum, a member of the Orchid Society and orchid collector, speak to us on orchids. It was an entertaining and informative talk which clearly was well appreciated by all present. Thank you Dr Paul.
The photo quiz is back! This time to stay. Today the quiz wall was well attended and many handed in their quiz papers These will be corrected and a prize given at the Christmas Party for the member with the most correct answers.
Soon this month's quiz will be posted to the site, with a bio on each plant that was photographed. Thank you Joy Millar for allowing the photography in your stunning garden.
Our visit to the lovely garden of Brent and Jennifer Augustus was indeed a memorable one. Their garden is quite spacious with a wide variety of flowers, shrubs and trees, all in pristine condition. There was also a very informative and interesting talk by Tony Tank Kai, who was one of the team members to represent Trinidad and Tobago at the Chelsea Flower Show. All their preparation and hard work certainly paid off with the prestigious award of a Gold Medal. Many thanks to Brent and Jennifer for a truly enjoyable visit.
