Trinidad is home to a vast array of both flora and fauna. This translates into very satisfying gardening for both the amateur hobbyist and the experienced landscape specialist. With clearly defined wet and dry seasons and year-round high humidity, growing most things in Trinidad is a rewarding experience. The gardens displayed within are an excellent example of the increasing diversity of both traditional ‘country’ gardens and smaller, urban ‘town’ lots. There are quaint cottage gardens characterized by the seemingly random but enchanting mixtures of texture and colour. But here too is the modern minimalist garden that derives its beauty from form and shape and allows the viewer to appreciate the art of topiary and structured shaping. To all the talented gardeners who agreed to let us share these remarkable gardens, we say thank you. To you the reader: Enjoy!
