Members and their guests had the pleasure of visiting Nigel & Monique's new home and garden on January 13th 2018. What a spectacular sight! The home is located in the heights of Moka, so he has landscaped the sloping area with an abundance of foliage and flowers. Steps lead the way down to an enchanting garden area complete with pond and surrounded with lush trees and plants. Nigel himself created and landscaped this little wonderland. Congratulations Nigel on a job well do
Pamela Bourne’s garden is on a slope with a lovely view and some well grown and unusual plants. Everyone envied her ‘bird of paradise’ plant, with its 5 flowers.
Jennifer Avey gave an interesting talk about growing and breeding anthuriums for the flower trade (new varieties taking up to 7 - 8 years from start to finish to produce possible viable plants!) and members had many questions for her on growing them successfully in their gardens.

Denise D'Abadie's hard work in her lovely garden certainly paid off. Beautifully landscaped with an interesting mix of plants as well as a variety of palms, all in pristine condition. Great job Denise, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and sincere thanks to yourself and Roger for hosting the September meeting.
The long drive to George and Barbara's beautiful estate in Gran Couva was well worth the trip. The eventual sunshine after long days of rain allowed members and their guests to explore a small part of the twelve acres belonging to George and Barbara.
