Saturday 16th February was a bright sunny afternoon, perfect for garden club members and their guests to enjoy Betsy 's large expanse of garden. There were lovely healthy shrubs and flowers, not to mention her immaculate lawn. An unusual Kumquat tree, still relatively young so not in flower nor bearing fruit but beautifully grown and the centre of attention.
Many thanks Betsy for a most enjoyable afternoon. Click here to see more pics of Betsy Herrera's garden
Sunny, but cool, a typical January morning, greeted members and their guests to Lyn Murray's garden. A garden in all of its glory - nearly everything was in full bloom and very evident of the constant maintenance and hard work that was involved. Sincere thanks Lyn for sharing. Peter Moll also gave a very informative talk and demonstration on how and when to cut back poinsettias an chrysanthemums to make them bloom again. Sincere thanks also to Peter.
The meeting at Michelle Morrison's house took place on October 27th. The guest speaker was Jennifer Salter. Katy Bennett gave the host her prize and the raffle was won by Kathleen Boswell-Inness.
Marion's beautiful garden with such a variety of flowers and foliage was indeed a joy to behold. Much imagination, time and effort obviously contributed towards the picturesque landscape. Many thanks Marion for sharing your lovely little piecof heaven with the Garden Club. Click here to see more pics of Marion d'Almada's garden
