The Garden Club recently had a Garden Competition open to all members. The competition was divided into three categories - Large gardens, Medium Gardens and Small Gardens.  Here are the winners of theLarge and Medium Garden categories.

The Garden Club held a Fund Raising Tea for Jeannine Story on Sunday 16th August, at The Conservatory, San Antonio House, San Antonio Farm, Santa Cruz.

A good time was had by all.  Entertainment provided by The Carter family.  There were plenty of beautiful door prizes and a raffle with all plant, home and garden related items.

The Garden Club of Trinidad extends heartiest  congratulations to Mrs. Marlene Davis and Mrs. Sharon Millar on their recent literary accomplishments.  We are very proud of you both.

Mrs. Marlene Davis, Newspaper Columnist, self-published a selection of her popular newspaper articles about the correct  usage of English in her new book - "Language Matters".

Marlene is also a Communication Consultant conducting courses in:- Business writing skills, Presentation skills, Adult Literacy, Training of Human Resource Instructors, Personal deportment and Proof Reading

 Mrs. Sharon Millar was the Caribbean Regional Winner of the 2013 Commonwealth Short Story Prize  for her book, "The Whale House".

 Sharon also won the Small Axe Literary Competition last year and recently completed a Masters of Fine Arts Creative Writing programme at Lesley University in Massachusetts, USA.
