Meeting at Dr Nigel & Mrs Monique Russell-Hosein's Garden
1st Garden Club Meeting in 2 Years!
Goodness gracious me!
What a lovely meeting we had yesterday at the beautiful home of Dr. Nigel and Mrs. Monique Russell-Hosein. It was so special to be able to meet again face to face. The meeting, being the first one in two LONG years, was of a more relaxed format with lots of time allocated to “liming”. We all were very happy to see each other and catch up. No one could stop smiling. Nigel and Monique were delightful and generous hosts and the meeting served as the start of celebrations of Nigel’s up-coming 60 birthday. Nigel was presented with a beauty of a bromeliad in appreciation.
We had the pleasure of welcoming a new member to the club, namely Michele De Verteuil. I’m absolutely sure we will enjoy having her with us and I’m sure too that she will enjoy being part of the club that has become so very dear to each and every one of us.
The Russell-Hosein’s garden has really matured beautifully. With lots to explore and marvel at and lots more to make you smile. And one or two areas too to make you, secretly, a little bit jealous.
It was a very fitting start to what I anticipate is going to be a wonderful year of beautiful gardens, informative talks and fun quizzes. And not forgetting our plant sale on May 28th. This time at Windsurf Park in Westmoorings. I, along with the entire committee, look forward to seeing you in your numbers at our next meet
